ST. GEORGE, Utah – With nearly 75% of the vote, former Washington County Administrator Dean Cox will soon take on his new role as Washington County Commissioner. Cox ran as the republican candidate against unaffiliated candidate Greg Aldred and independent candidate Josh Warburton for County Seat C.

Cox plans to fill the void of long time Commissioner Alan Gardner. Like Gardner, he’s been a long time advocate of keeping public lands under the control of local leadership. He also believes that a solution must be worked out to support growth in the future.
