WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah - + Video As Washington County grows, local leaders, developers and planners work tirelessly to keep traffic congestion low. The hope is to provide easy access to and from homes and where people work and shop.

The long range transportation plans are calculated to handle yet another population explosion in the county, as we head into the next three decades.

One of the most recent undertakings was the construction of an underpass under I-15, between Green Springs and St. George Boulevard exits. Planners hope the new connection helps alleviate bottlenecks, creating less congestion for other passages.

A Transportation Expo will be held at the Dixie Center on February 7, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. explaining future road projects and their potential impacts. The expo is free to the public.
