In 2011 it was flooding, this past year has been a drought. Mother Nature has a plan of her own and in Utah that typically means that when it rains, it pours and when it doesn't rain, it just doesn't.

This weekend on the program we take a look at a project that Weber County has been involved in with a number of partners including the NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service). With the help of federal funding and a number of good partners, the county was able to tackle a big project on the Weber River (about 18 miles of river) that will protect against future flooding.

Our guests will talk about the process involved in working with the State and Federal Government on a project that took off from the local level.

Kerry Gibson, Weber County Commissioner
Bronson Smart, State Coordinator with NRCS
Jared Andersen, Weber County Engineer
