ST. GEORGE, Utah - + Video – The Salvation Army has been around for over 150 years. While it’s original ministry was to convert thieves, prostitutes, gamblers and drunkards to christianity, the mission today is to serve the afflicted and help heal the addicted.

By using the twelve steps program and encouraging self discipline and hard work, the mission of the volunteer army is to help others succeed by giving them a hand up.

The Salvation Army in St. George is nearing it’s one year anniversary, but has already made an impact on the lives the ministry has touched.
