WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah - + Video – It’s been a long time coming, but former Washington County Commissioner Alan Gardner finally got to see a project he’s worked on come true. Two new kiosks placed between La Verkin and Virgin were dedicated in his name at a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday. The kiosks mark the historic Stout Sheep Bridge, CCC Corrals and Hurricane Mesa Test Site. The informational signs allow travelers the ability to pull off and read history on the area and it’s former uses. The kiosks and pullouts were built in cooperation with area cities of La Verkin, Virgin, Springdale, Washington County, the BLM, the Utah Department of Transportation and the Washington County Historical Society.
