Fugitive wanted on FBI warrant arrested in St. George Wednesday afternoon

ST. GEORGE, Utah - + Video – A fugitive wanted by the FBI for a warrant issued by Las Vegas Metro Police was arrested in St. George Thursday afternoon, just an hour and a half after he crashed a stolen pickup truck into a cinderblock wall.

St. George Police, Detectives,  SWAT team, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies and FBI agents responded to the scene off River Road, shortly after 2:00 p.m. After the crash, the man fled on foot where he was found hiding in the neighborhood.

David Cody Temples, 35, was wanted on a felony warrant for robbery with a firearm, aggravated kidnapping, and burglary with a firearm.

Authorities considered him armed and dangerous, but did not find a weapon on him at the time he was arrested.

Temples will face charges on the felony warrant and will also be charged in St. George with residential burglary, evading in a vehicle, reckless driving, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, and four counts of possession of finance cards. He also faces charges of possession of stolen property, leaving the scene of an accident and possession of multiple identification cards.
