Former Black & Decker CEO and DSU Alum shares success with students

ST. GEORGE, Utah - + Video– (Dixie State University) Business school students at Dixie State University learned what it takes to become the CEO of a Fortune 500 Company, as well as how to succeed in life. 

DSU basketball alum and former CEO of Black & Decker, Nolan Archibald spoke about his life’s journey which all started here at Dixie State.

A native of Utah, Archibald shared his passion and success by highlighting what brought him here.

Nolan was an All-American basketball player for Dixie College in the 1960s and led the team to the National Junior College Basketball Finals. After graduating from Dixie, he went on to join Black & Decker as president and COO in 1985 and was appointed president and chief executive officer in 1986. At age 42, Archibald was the youngest CEO of a Fortune 500 Company at the time.
