We’re going to talk about employment today. You go to work for a company you are either working as a salaried employee or an hourly employee. When you’re salaried that means your job is, and the completion of your job is what your salary pays for and there’s not much attention paid to exactly how many hours you’re working. Well that is changing with new federal regulations that are tightening the overtime requirements for salaried employees.
Those of us in the private sector have a little more leeway than those in the public sector, and this is potentially going to have a big impact on counties.
