ST. GEORGE, Utah - + Video – It’s been three years in the making. St. George’s All Abilities Park was welcomed by hundreds of children and adults on October 8. Located next to Tonaquint Park off Dixie Drive, the latest addition was a huge hit. Complete with waterfalls, a volcano, dinosaurs and even a train, the handicapped accessible park is one of a kind.

At a price tag of around $5 million, the uniquely designed free park appeals to all ages. Many of the employees of the park were instrumental in it’s inception and are proud to be serving the community with “miles of smiles” which is the park’s theme.

More than $1.5 million in private donations went a long way in building the park, including money raised by the St. George Exchange Club and proceeds from the St. George Marathon. The Thunder Junction Train and Depot alone cost over $500,000.
